VIQ Solutions announces new Encompass audio and video solution, new version of RecordIAB

 MARKHAM, ON, Oct. 10 - VIQ Solutions Inc. (“VIQ Solutions” or the “Corporation”) (TSX Venture: VQS) announced today the release of its new Encompass digital audio and video capture solution and the latest version of the RecordIAB recording console with networking capabilities.

In addition to multi-channel digital audio recording, Encompass offers synchronized digital video capture, making it ideally suited for markets with both digital audio and visual requirements such as the traditional court market, quasi-judicial markets including depositions, inquiries or hearings and new vertical markets.

Encompass has been configured to suit any environment and can function as a fully featured stand-alone solution operating on a tablet PC or laptop, or as a networked solution for multi-room installations. Encompass also supports a broad range of third-party audio and video capture devices, reducing the need for expensive hardware.

Both Encompass and RecordIAB will be launched in the US market at the upcoming dealer conference co-hosted by VIQ Solutions and Smoltz Distributing Inc., VIQ Solutions’ North American distribution partner, on November 9, 2006.
