Question: On the 725 Transcription System, where is the deletion button?
Answer: To delete or fast erase
previous recordings, press the Play and Rewind buttons at the same time.
You can also press the Play and Wind buttons at the same time to erase
any recordings after a certain point on the cassette.
Question: Sporadically
Stops and Starts
Answer: Symptom: Unit sporadically
stops and starts. Possible Problem: Voice Activation is on. Note: The
recorder will activate and start and stop automatically with the voice
activation feature.
Question: No Sound
in Headset
Answer: Symptom: No sound. Possible
Problem: Switch under the lid is set to loud speakers, set to headset.
Question: No Sound
Answer: Symptom: No sound. Possible
Problem: Headset. Note: Turn on LS switch and playback through loud
speaker. If the sound is heard, then the problem is not in the unit.
Question: No
Recording
Answer: Symptom: DeskTop unit will
not record. Possible Problem: No cassette in unit, the cassette inserted
is record protected, or the microphone may not be plugged in.
Question: No Power
Answer: Symptom: No power. Possible
Problem: Power supply. Note: Try another adapter. If this works then the
problem is not in the unit.
Question: No Back or
Forward
Answer: Symptom: Unit will not go
forward/back, etc. Possible Problem: Foot Control. Note: Try using the
buttons on the unit itself to play, rewind, etc. If this works then the
problem is not in the unit.
Question: Dictation
Repeats
Answer: Symptom: Dictation repeats
when the footpedal is depressed. Possible Problem: Backspacing switch
under the lid is set at a high setting.
Question: Dead Unit
Answer: Symptom: DeskTop unit is
dead. Possible Problem: Missing power supply.
Question: Clipping
of Selective Words
Answer: Symptom: The unit is
clipping off selective words. Possible Problem: Voice Activation is on.
Note: The recorder will activate and start and stop automatically with
the voice activation feature.
